Motorcyclist dies, 1 hurt after crashing into parked truck in Quezon

LUCENA CITY — A motorcycle rider died while another was injured on Christmas day after their vehicle bumped into a parked truck in San Narciso town in Quezon province, the police said.

Motorcyclist “Leonard,”19, and his pillion rider, “Chen-Chen,” 17, were negotiating a national road when their vehicle hit a parked truck in Barangay San Juan at 7:10 p.m., the Quezon police reported on Thursday, Dec. 26.

Due to the strong impact of the collision, both riders suffered grave injuries and were taken to a local hospital, but Leonard died while on the way there.

The report did not specify if the unattended truck had an early warning device to alarm approaching vehicles.
