Worker stabbed in Mandaue robbery

A 24-YEAR-OLD man was wounded in a robbery in barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

Russel Pilvera of Pagadian City temporarily lives in the barangay. He was stabbed in the chest when he resisted the robbers.

The robbery occurred past 2 p.m. last Thursday while Pilvera was on his way to work at M. Lhuillier Foods.

Police said Rivera was walking on H. Abellana Street when a motorcycle with two men on board blocked him.

The backrider approached Rivera and demanded money from him.

When Rivera refused to give anything, the robber drew a knife and stabbed the victim.

The robber took the employee’s cell phone and undetermined amount of cash.

Some residents in the brought the victim to the Mandaue City Hospital.
