Man stabbed, hogtied in Caloocan robbery

The timely arrival of a neighbor who was parking his vehicle saved the life of a family driver who was stabbed and hogtied by robbers in Caloocan City Thursday night.

The victim, Pedro Ballano, sustained multiple stab wounds during the attack inside his house on Saint Bernadette Street, Capitol Parkland, Barangay 177.

An investigation showed that Dolfo Paloca, another driver residing in Parkland, was parking his motorcycle when he heard shouts from Ballano’s house.

As he approached to check, Paloca saw several men rushing out of the place, one of whom he recognized as Renato Cruz.

Upon entering the premises, Paloca saw Ballano hogtied and bleeding.
