2 killed in road accidents

A CARPENTER and an 8-year-old boy were killed in separate vehicular accidents in southern  Cebu.

Samuel Parantar, 56, died on the spot after he was thrown off a motorcycle which collided with a motorcycle in barangay Taloot, Argao town.

The 17-year-old tricycle driver, Ibara Tecson, and two other passengers were injured.

A slippery  road was  cited as a possible cause of the accident which  happened after a heavy downpour last Thursday afternoon.

Police said Tecson was negotiating a downhill  road when his tricycle  collided head-on with a motorcycle, whose driver  was not immediately identified.

In barangay Campo 8, Toledo City, an 8-year-old boy was killed after he was hit by a motorcycle.

The boy was  crossing a road last Friday afternoon.

The grade three pupil, suffered severe injuries in  different parts of the body.

The driver of the motorcycle, Erlindo Paduga, 39, surrendered to the police after the accident./CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
