3 cars seized from businessman accused of carnapping

POLICE seized three vehicles owned by a businessman who was earlier arrested on charges of  qualified carnapping.

The  vehicles were seized by a joint team from  the Highway Patrol Group from Central Visayas and Quezon City.

The vehicles were owned by Jovel Entote, who was arrested last Tuesday at  his residence in barangay Banilad, Cebu City.

His lawyer  Noel Archival said he  would check  the formal complaint first before commenting on the case.

Edwin Angay, legal counsel of HPG, said that after Entote’s arrest, the HPG applied for a search warrant after they received reports that the businessman owned cars with spurious documents.

A white BMW and a Honda Jazz were seized from the businesman’s house.

One of the BMWs was recovered yesterday in barangay Zapatera, Cebu City. It’s plate number NQI-707 is officially assigned to a Toyota Corolla owned by Josefina Reyes in Bonifacio Manila, said Angay./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
