German nabbed

A German tourist  was arrested on allegatins that he mauled  his errand girl in his rented apartment in D . Jakosalem Street, Cebu City.

Peter Maek Timmer, 49, is facing more charges after a .357 revolver,  ammunition and  Nubain were recovered in his apartment.

The foreigner was also accused of carnapping.

Melody Navaja, 37, sought the help of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7) yesterday after she  was allegedly mauled by Timmer.

Timmer, a native of Marx-stazt Jetsy, Germany has been staying in Cebu for a year.

He did not resist arrest.

Navaja had bruises in the face, legs and arms .

At the CIDG-7 office, Timmer was asked to present documents to prove that his stay in the country is legal.

He and CIDG members returned to the apartment to get the documents.

While at the apartment, police said they found a .357 revolver, bullets, wigs, ski-masks and ampules of Nubain.

Timmer said the gun was for self-protection while the wigs were “just for fun.”

Police also recovered a Kia Rio sedan parked near  the apartment with a .45 pistol and suspected illegal drugs inside the car.

Last week, Emmanuel Barido, owner of a rent-a-car shop, reported to the police that  the German  did not return a car that he had rented from the shop.
