Cesafi’s top high school teams to vie in CYB hoop
CEBU’S top high school squads who are preparing for the upcoming wards CESAFI wars will compete first in the Mayor Duke Frasco/Cebu Youth Basketball League Goodwill Games starting today at the Liloan Kai Gym.
The University of the Visayas (UV) Baby Lancers takes on Perfect Sports of Liloan in the curtain-raiser while the Congressional Cup champions Liloan battles the reigning Cesafi juniors champions Cebu Eastern College (CEC) in the main offing.
Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) drew a bye on opening day and will plunge into action on tomorrow.
The goodwill games, which will run for two straight weekends, are being used by the CESAFI teams as part of their preparations for the upcoming CESAFI season, which starts Aug. 7.
Liloan is fielding its teams as part of its youth basketball program.
The format of the games is a round robin classification phase with the top two facing off in a championship game.
