Blood drops from ceiling lead to IT teacher’s corpse

Blood seeping through her ceiling led the occupant of an apartment in Caloocan City to the lifeless body of Elton John Roa, an information technology teacher, who lived one floor above.

Ayer Amer Nera told police that she saw blood dripping from the ceiling of her unit as she was about to buy breakfast early Friday morning. With another neighbor and a bystander, Nera went upstairs to investigate. They found Roa slumped on the floor, lying in a pool of blood.

Investigators said the victim died of a single gunshot wound in his left temple. Police found an improvised shotgun in the apartment.
