/ 07:45 AM July 26, 2012

KENNETH Maningo canned a fastbreak lay-up in the dying second pushing Kentkyle Cuisine to a close, 85-84 win over Cebu Int’l Port Users (CIPU) last Saturday in the Customs – 3rd Major Alfonso Abbriao Cup-2012 Biggest Loser basketball tournament at the Basak San Nicolas gym.

Both protagonists engaged in an air-tight battle for the entire 40-minute skirmish which was decided only in the last seven seconds when former CIT Wildcat Ramil Aniñon stole the ball from CIPU’s Digoy Solidarius and dished an assist to an open Maningo who drained the game-winning shot.

Maningo and Aniñon led Kentkyle Cuisine with 25 and 12 points, respectively while Broker Mondin and Siegfred Pastor paced CIPU with 27 and 17 markers.
