07:39 AM July 20, 2012

Two football players from the Don Bosco Boys Home (DBBH) Liloan have been shortlisted for the Philippine team for the 2012 Homeless World Cup in Mexico City this October.

Eddie Alivio, 18, and Calvin Canares, 17, were picked up yesterday by coach Rudy del Rosario in a tryout held at the DBBH campus in Liloan.

DBBH’s Bro. Mari Aberasturi said he is hoping the two will make it to the team during the final cut. The final tryout will be done in Manila on Aug. 19 with a total of 20 hopefuls. Of the 20, only eight will make the team.  /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
