CFA launches 1st grassroots program in Danao today

07:35 AM July 20, 2012

The Cebu Football Association (CFA) will be launching its first Kasibulan Football Grassroots Development Program in Danao today to be spearheaded by Eleazar Toledo, the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) appointed grassroots development officer (GDO).

Toledo said the Kasibulan is also one of PFF’s talent identification program for the national team.

For every football association, one GDO is appointed by the PFF. The GDO’s task is to organize a three-day workshop, wherein they aim to reach the target of C-60 and P-500.

C-60 means being able to teach the program to 60 coaches per area under the FA while P-500 means 500 participants for the Grassroots Course Festival (GCF), which will be held on the last day of the workshop. The program is for kids aged six to 12 years old.

Every FA is required to run six GCF through the GDO within six months. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
