Team Avatar tops Tactical Paintball Wargames

DANAO, BOHOL— Team Avatar of Guindulman Bohol ruled the Tactical Paintball Wargames held yesterday in the hills of Dagohoy in Danao, Bohol.

The paintball event is one of the activities lined up for the Danao Revolution, an activity held in line with the Charter Day anniversary of the municipality of Danao.

Team Avatar tallied 400 points to bag the title while Team Carmen finished second with 350 points. The team is manned by players from Team Chit of Carmen and Team Saw of Tagbilaran.

Other competing teams were Team FDZ of Tagbilaran; Team Kadugo ni Dagohoy made up of security guards of Danao; Philippine National Police (PNP)-Danao and the Shooters.

FEATURED STORIES

The champion team is supposed to battle the PNP Special Forces today to replicate the history of Dagohoy Hills which took 87 years for the Spaniards to capture.

However, the team needs to go home so Team FDC will combine with Team Blitz Bratz against the PNP Special Forces.

The Special Forces will only have three men with eight bullets each, while the assaulting forces will have eight men with unlimited bullets.

The paintball wargames is spearheaded by Alona PaintBall.

Other sporting activities of the Danao Revolution which will be held today are the Rebel Trails Duathlon and Mud Scrambler.

Most of the duathlon participants are from Cebu led by Elmo Carbajal while others are from Manila and Cagayan de Oro.

Categories are Executive which will tackle the 5 kilometer run-20km bike and 5km run, and Elite which will have the 10km run-30km bike and 10km run.

The Mud Scrambler, is an experimental game.

According to Yahman Jeanjaquet, in-charge of event logistics, they will always try to come up with a new game in every Danao Revolution and this year it is the Mud Scrambler which will be held at the Wahig River.
