EX-COP WANTED FOR MURDER NABBED

A FORMER policeman wanted in Mindanao for murder charges was arrested in barangay Calamba, Cebu City.

Police said Alejandro Desuyo, 34, had been in hiding for a year before he was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7) last Thursday night.

An arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Concordio Bagiuo in Iligan City was used in the arrest.

The court did not recommend bail for Desuyo’s temporary liberty.

Desuyo had a rank of police officer 2 when he was dismissed from service last year. The former policeman refused to comment on his arrest.

Police said Desuyo tried to run away after noticing the presence of the policemen.

MAN ARRESTED IN DRUG-BUST

POLICE arrested a man in an illegal drugs buy-bust operation in barangay Labangon, Cebu City.

Police said a big pack of suspected shabu worth P25,000 was seized from the possession of Vivencio Baldisamo Jr., 41.

The man allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer when he was arrested by operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Branch led by PO3 Reynaldo Solante last Friday night.

Solante said the man was in the watch list of the police.

Police said the man was capable of disposing of 400 grams of shabu a week./CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
