4 killed in clash with Manila police
MANILA, Philippines – Four people were killed in a firefight with Manila City Hall Public Assistance (Chapa) police in Tondo, Manila on Wednesday, police said.
Police Officer 1 Ian Balaya of Chapa said the encounter that killed the four still unidentified suspects transpired along Baseco Compound in Tondo, Manila around 12 noon.

“May nag report lang sa amin na nakitang armed itong mga suspects kaya rumesponde kami (We just got a report that these suspects were armed so we responded) ,” Balaya said when asked of their violations.
No other information was available as of posting time, he said, adding that further investigation was underway.
