‘A humbling validation,’ says Binay on his high approval, trust ratings
MANILA, Philippines – Vice President Jejomar Binay said he was humbled by his consistent high approval and trust ratings as shown by the latest Pulse Asia survey.
“The results of the survey are a humbling validation that the people appreciate the work that President Aquino and I have been doing,” Binay said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Again, it inspires me and my co-workers in government to give our best in serving our kababayans, especially in addressing the housing needs of our people, and the concerns of
Overseas Filipino Workers as well as the victims of human trafficking and illegal recruitment,” he added.
Based on the survey conducted from May 20 to 26, Binay’s approval rating was 81 percent, followed by Senate President Juan Ponce-Enrile with 68 percent and President Benigno Aquino III with 67 percent, Speaker Feliciano Belmonte with 37 percent and ousted Chief Justice Renato Corona with only 12 percent.
Article continues after this advertisementBinay also got the highest trust rating with 78 percent, followed by Aquino (65 percent), Enrile (62 percent), Belmonte (29 percent), and Corona with only 10 percent.
