LRT-2 resumes full operations after technical problem
MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit line 2 (LRT2) resumed full operations before noon Wednesday following a technical problem.
In its latest advisory at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said the LRT-2 resumed full operations after thetechnical problem at the rectifier substation near Katipunan Station was successfully fixed.
“May biyahe na mula RECTO STATION hanggang ANTIPOLO STATION at pabalik,” the LRTA said.
(There are now trips from RECTO STATION to ANTIPOLO STATION and vice versa.)
The agency added that the free rides at the LRT-2 will continue starting this Wednesday until Thursday.

The LRT-2 operations were limited Wednesday morning due to a technical problem.
The LRTA told INQUIRER.net that trains began operating on a limited capacity from Recto Station to Araneta Center-Cubao Station at 6:45 a.m.
To assist affected passengers, the LRTA deployed shuttle services at the Antipolo, Marikina-Pasig, Santolan, Katipunan, and Anonas stations, offering free rides to the Araneta Center-Cubao station. /gsg
