BASAK PARDO FIRE RAZES 7 HOUSES

Another fire hit Cebu City last night razing seven houses and damaging another house in barangay Basak Pardo.

FO3 Loel Opolontesima, Cebu City fire investigator, pegged the damage at P70,000.

The fire started in the house of Dela Rodriguez.

DULJO-FATIMA SHOOTING LEAVES 1 DEAD, 1 WOUNDED

Two gunmen shot and killed a 44-year-old paralytic man and wounded a 14-year-old boy last night in barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City.

Cornelio Ramos, 44, of sitio San Pedro died after he was shot in the head and several times in the body.

The 14-year-old boy, who was seated on a bench a few meters away from Ramos when he was attacked was hit by a stray bullet in the head.

He was brought to the hospital for treatment.

Police investigation showed that Ramos, whose left side of the body was left paralyzed after suffering an ailment, was attacked on his way to a store to buy medicine.

At 7:15 p.m., witnesses said two men, who were seen following Ramos as he left his house.

They attacked him as they reached the interior portion of the sitio.

Ramos was first shot in the head, then the two assailants took turns in shooting the victim in the body.

The 14-year-old boy was sitting on a bench with his 21-year-old sister nearby tending to their small store when he was hit by the stray bullet.
