Bohol gov to meet with CAAP, firms over airport water supply

TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — Bohol Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado is set to convene a meeting with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and water suppliers to address the water supply shortage at the Bohol-Panglao International Airport.

The toilets at the ninth busiest airport in the country have been without water since last December.

The airport management said that the water supplier, Richli Water, had failed to deliver water to them.

On Thursday, Jan. 9, utility personnel were seen filling water containers from a tanker. Passengers used pails and dippers to flush the toilets.

A utility worker told the Inquirer that some passengers scolded them for lack of water.

If not addressed immediately, Aumentado said the water supply problem would affect Bohol’s image as a tourism destination
