2 drug suspects busted in Cavite, Laguna; over P370,000 shabu seized

LUCENA CITY, Philippines — Police arrested two drug suspects and seized confiscated more than P370,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) following separate buy-bust operations on Friday in Cavite and Laguna.

The Calabarzon Police Regional Office (PRO-4A) reported on Saturday, Jan. 4, that anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested a certain ed “Allan” at around 10:00 p.m. in Barangay Lumbreras in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite.

The suspect, according to the police, had in his possession seven sachets of shabu weighing 25 grams and worth around P170,000.

The suspect is classified as a “high-value individual” or HVI on the police drug watch list, according to the report.

In Cabuyao City, Laguna, the police arrested a certain “Mark” in an operation in Barangay Niugan at around 8:00 p.m.

The street-level drug suspect was arrested with nine sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams valued at around P204,000.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspect in his illegal drug transactions.

Both suspects are detained and are facing a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
