P5.1M shabu, ecstasy seized from 3 suspects in Cavite, Laguna
LUCENA CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives seized on Wednesday and Tuesday more than P5.1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and ecstasy tablets from three “high-value” drug traffickers in buy-bust operations in Cavite and Laguna provinces.
The Region 4A police reported on Thursday, Sept. 26, that Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents and local policemen arrested “Zahura” on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. after he sold P5,000 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Molino 2 in Bacoor City, Cavite.
The arrested suspect yielded five plastic sachets containing 500 grams of meth worth P3,400,000.
Authorities also seized a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.
In a belated report, PDEA Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) said their agents arrested Mark Marvin Piathong, 28, and his partner Dhaesyrie Dumale, 20, in a sting operation on Tuesday, Sept. 24, around 11:25 p.m. in Barangay San Francisco in Biñan City, Laguna.

Investigators were still determining the source of the illegal drugs peddled by the suspects.
The suspects were detained and are facing complaints of violating the country’s anti-drug laws.
