Marcoses spend Maundy Thursday, wedding anniversary at Suba Beach

MANILA, Philippines — The First Family spent Maundy Thursday at Suba Beach in Ilocos Norte. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos also marked their 32nd wedding anniversary on the same day.
Araneta-Marcos posted a photo of herself with the president and two of their sons, Joseph Simon Marcos and William Vincent “Vinny” Marcos, seated at a table by the beach, about to enjoy a boodle meal.

Ilocos Norte is the hometown of the Marcoses.
“When Bing Crosby first sang ‘the best things in life are free,’ he probably wasn’t thinking about a boodle meal — although he might’ve been onto something,” the First Lady said in the caption.`’
‘Joy of sharing time’
“If our anniversary lunch says anything, it’s that nothing compares to the joy of sharing time (and food!) with the people we love most!” she added.
Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos was not in the photo.
Meanwhile, President Marcos already penned an advance wedding anniversary message to the First Lady on Wednesday evening.
“Tomorrow is our 32nd anniversary. I’m still mystified how my wife, Liza, has managed to put up with me for so long without going insane,” he said.
The president also said, “Thank you for your love, patience and strength. I love you, dear!”
The First Couple tied the knot on April 17, 1993, at the San Francesco Convent in Fiesole, Italy.
