Valenzuela City designates firecracker zones

MANILA, Philippines — Valenzuela City designated firecracker zones in various barangays in a bid to control the use of fireworks and promote a safe New Year 2025 revelry.

The local government issued Executive Order No. 2024-186, enumerating firecracker zones and non-firecracker zones and warning violators of penalties.

The Valenzuela City Public Information Office posted a copy of the local order in a Facebook post on Monday.

“Any individual, entity or corporation who shall violate the provisions of Republic No. 7183, Executive Order No. 28, s. 2017, Memorandum Order No. 31, s. 2018, and this Executive Order shall be punished in accordance with existing laws and/or ordinances,” the order warns.

Brgy. Coloong

Brgy. Paso de Blas

Brgy. Palasan

Brgy. Punturin

Brgy. Rincon

Brgy. Ugong

Brgy. Veinte Reales

Brgy. WawangPulo
