Magnitude 3.9 earthquake hits Rizal town

LUCENA CITY — An earthquake of magnitude 3.9 was recorded early Monday in Rodriguez town in Rizal province.

The Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tectonic tremor hit 18 kilometers northeast of the municipality, with a depth of 20 km, at 1:20 a.m.

The Phivolcs said they were not expecting damage or aftershocks from the earthquake.

Intensity II – Quezon City; City of Marikina

Instrumental Intensity:

Intensity II – Quezon City; Caloocan City; Antipolo City, Riza; General Nakar, Quezon

Intensity I – Angono, Rizal; Marilao, Bulacan; Las Piñas City, Metro Manila
