Windy weekend forecast in many parts of PH as Kristine exits
MANILA, Philippines — Gale-force gusts are expected in many parts of the country from Friday to Sunday due to the southwesterly wind triggered by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami) and Tropical Storm Kong-rey outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
In its 11 p.m. bulletin on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that while all Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals have been lifted, strong winds are forecast in many parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao this weekend.

Pagasa said that gale warnings are up over the northern and western seaboards of Luzon.
Pagasa on Friday evening located Kristine some 535 kilometers west of Bacnotan, La Union, moving west-southwest at 25 kilometers per hour (kph), packing maximum winds of 95 kph and gustiness of up to 115 kph.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Kong-rey (local name: Leon) is forecast to enter PAR and may intensify into a severe tropical storm on Sunday.
