MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and other areas will experience rain showers on Friday afternoon due to Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, the state weather bureau said.
In its 2 p.m. rainfall warning advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Metro Manila, Cavite, and Rizal are expected to experience light to moderate rains within the next three hours.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains, with occasional heavy rains affecting Pampanga, Bulacan, Tarlac, and Nueva Ecija may persist within three hours.
The state weather bureau also said that a yellow rainfall warning is retained over Zambales and Bataan, where they are forecast to have between 7.5 millimeters (mm) and 15 mm downpours. Flooding is possible in low-lying or flood-prone areas.
Kristine was last located some 255 kilometers (km) west-northwest of Bacnotan, La Union, or 255 km west-southwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

It retained its strength while moving west-northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour (kph). It was packing maximum wind speed of 95 kph and gustiness of up to 115 kph.
The storm is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Friday afternoon or evening.
