Magnitude 4 earthquake hits Davao Occidental town
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4 earthquake hit Jose Abad Santos town in Davao Occidental on Thursday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
According to Phivolcs, the tremor occurred at 5:58 p.m. and it was located east of Jose Abad Santos town. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 127 kilometers.
The agency said there are no expected damage and aftershocks.
No data on reported and instrumental intensities were available as of posting.
The town was struck by a magnitude 5.1 earthquake last Friday. Intensity I was recorded in Malungon, Sarangani.
