MANILA, Philippines – Las Piñas City police apprehended two individuals for illegal drugs and firearm possession early Friday morning during an operation in the city.
An “Oplan Galugad” operation by the city’s CAA Substation at 1 a.m. in Barangay Manuyo Dos arrested a certain Luigi, 18; and Jomar, 41, seizing from them 52.98 grams of suspected shabu (crystal meth) estimated to be worth P360,264.
Police also confiscated a .45 caliber pistol loaded with two live rounds.

The evidence was turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit, as the suspects will face complaints under the Dangerous Drugs Act and the Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
“Conducting ‘Oplan Galugad’ is crucial in our mission to enhance the safety and security of our communities. It allows us to proactively address and eliminate the threats posed by illegal drugs and firearms, ensuring a safer environment for all residents,” SPD Director PBGen. Bernard Yang said in a statement.
