MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) sees cloudy skies for most of the country on Sunday, with high chances of rain showers.

Weather specialist Ana Clauren-Jorda said in the bureau’s 4 p.m. forecast that Palawan, Bicol Region, Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with chances of scattered rain showers due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

Mindanao should expect rain only in the afternoon or evening, Clauren-Jorda added.

Luzon, on the other hand, will continue experiencing fair weather for Sunday, but the weather bureau expects rain showers and localized thunderstorms brought by the easterlies.
