Tropical cyclone Julian (International name: Krathon) has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the state weather bureau said on Friday.

MANILA, Philippines – Tropical cyclone Julian (International name: Krathon) has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the state weather bureau said on Friday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (Pagasa) 11 a.m. bulletin showed Julian left the PAR at 8 a.m. Friday.

Julian exited PAR on Tuesday, reentered on Thursday, and left the country for the second time on Friday.

State meteorologists added that the cyclone had weakened into a low-pressure area and was spotted 480 kilometers north of Ibayat, Batanes.

Pagasa, however, still warned of moderate to rough seas of up to 3.0 meters in coastal waters in Northern Luzon.

Julian caused up to P481.27 million worth of damage to the agriculture sector. The typhoon also killed at least two people, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
