Marcos appoints ex-Taguig councilor as new PCUP commissioner

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed former Taguig councilor Michelle Anne Gonzales as the new commissioner for the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor.

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed former Taguig councilor Michelle Anne Gonzales as the new commissioner for the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor.

This was announced through a letter from the Office of the Executive Secretary dated September 27, released on Thursday.

Gonzales will replace Paolo Guanco. She is also the mother of National Youth Commission Commissioner-At-Large Mae Mae Gonzales.

The new appointee served as Taguig City councilor from 2010 to 2016.

She also currently serves as corporate secretary of a private company called MTQ Mary the Queen Trading Corporation and as admin administrator at SH Holidays and Travel Corporation.

Moreover, Gonzales is also the current vice president of Ramoso Realty Corporation and treasurer of BALRAM Commercial and Development Corporation.

She finished up a degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting at the De La Salle University in Manila in 1991.
