Cops nab 2 drug pushers, seized P179,000 worth of shabu in Rizal bust

Police have arrested three drug suspects and seized more than P600,000 worth of "shabu" in a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal.

LUCENA CITY – Police in in Rodriguez, Rizal arrested two alleged drug pushers and seized over P179,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation on Saturday, September 28.

The Region 4A police reported Sunday, September 29, that members of the local drug enforcement unit collared “Raffy” and “Darwin” at 5:10 p.m. after they allegedly sold P300 worth of meth to an undercover cop in Barangay (village) San Isidro.

Confiscated from the suspects were eight plastic sachets containing shabu inside a coin purse.

The seized meth, weighing 26.4 grams, is worth P179,520 as per Dangerous Drugs Board valuation.

Both suspects are listed on the police watch list as identified “street-level” peddlers of illegal drugs in the locality.

The suspects were detained and are facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
