MANILA, Philippines – The low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has developed into a tropical depression as of 8:00 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported on Thursday morning.

In its 11:00 a.m. weather advisory, Pagasa said the tropical depression outside PAR was spotted some 2,615 kilometers (km) east of Central Luzon.

Pagasa said it is also monitoring two other LPAs for tropical cyclone formation: one located some 800 km east of extreme Northern Luzon and the second one some  1,436 km east of Eastern Visayas.

Given these developments, Pagasa advised the public to monitor weather system changes and updates.
