2 drug pushers in Rizal yield shabu worth P758,000

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested on Thursday two alleged drug traffickers and seized more than P758,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Binangonan town in Rizal province.

The Police Regional Office 4A reported that local drug enforcers arrested at 1 a.m. “Ed” and “Jeng” after they sold P2,000 worth of meth to a poseur buyer in Barangay Batingan.

Seized from the suspects were seven plastic sachets and two knot-tied plastic bags containing shabu weighing 110.24 grams worth P748,952 as per valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board.

The cops also seized one mobile phone from the suspects, classified as “high-value” targets in the government’s drug war. The phone will be checked for records of drug transactions.

The police are investigating further to determine the source of the illegal drugs.

The suspects are under police custody and facing charges of violating the country’s anti-drug laws.
