Walang Pasok: Class suspensions on Tuesday, Sept. 3 due to storm Enteng

 

MANILA, Philippines — Classes are suspended in many parts of Luzon on Tuesday, September 3 due to the inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm Enteng (international name: Yagi). 

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Monday evening also announced that classes in all levels and work in government offices are suspended in Metro Manila and Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) on Tuesday, September 3 due to the tropical storm.

• Angeles City, Pampanga – face-to-face classes in all levels, public and private schools (alternative modes of learning allowed)
• Apayao – all levels, public and private
• Aurora – all levels,  public and private schools
• Bamban, Tarlac – all levels,  public and private
• Baguio City – preschool to senior high school, public and private schools
• Bataan – all levels,  public and private school
• Batangas – face-to-face classes in all levels, public and private (shifted to modular distance learning)
• Benguet – preschool to senior high school, public and private schools
• Bontoc, Mountain Province – all levels, public and private
• Botolan, Zambales – all levels,  public and private schools
• Bulacan – all levels,  public and private schools
• Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) – all levels, public and private
• Calanasa, Apayao – all levels, public and private
• Camarines Sur – all levels,  public and private
• Candelaria, Zambales – all levels,  public and private schools

Tracking Enteng

In its 5:00 a.m. update,  the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said that the center of the tropical storm was spotted over the coastal waters of Paoay, Ilocos Norte with a maximum sustained wind speed of 75 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 15 kph while moving northwest at 25 kph. 

It is forecast to exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday morning and is expected to intensify into a severe tropical storm by Tuesday afternoon (at the earliest) or Tuesday evening, and into a typhoon category by Thursday.
