Heavy rainfall warning up in Zambales, other areas

MANILA, Philippines — Heavy rainfall warning was still up in Bataan and other areas on Monday evening due to the inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm Enteng, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pag-asa).

In its 11 p.m. rainfall advisory, the rainfall warning was reduced from red to orange in Bataan where flooding is “still threatening.” Areas under the orange rainfall warning will experience between 15 millimeters (mm) and 30 mm rainfall for the next two hours.

Meanwhile, yellow rainfall warning was up in Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Nueva Ecija where flooding is likely to occur in flood-prone areas. Areas under the yellow rainfall warning will accumulate between 7.5 mm and 15 mm of rain for the next two hours.

Light-moderate with occasional heavy rains

According to Pag-asa, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will affect Bulacan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal and may persist within three hours.

As of 11 p.m., Enteng was located at Rizal, Kalinga with a speed of 15 kilometers per hour (km/h) moving north northwestward. It was carrying maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h and gustiness of up to 140 km/h.
