MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recognized the role of the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing (PAW) in the accomplishment of a lot of work in government.
During its 56th founding anniversary on Monday, Marcos credited much of the work as the country’s chief executive to the support that the 250th PAW provides to him.
The 205th PAW is one of the premier flying units of the Philippine Air Force.
“I could not – I will say this outright – I could not do the job that I do if not for the professionalism and the provision of service that the Presidential Airlift Wing provides,” he said.
“I cannot imagine, pagka-mayroong bagyo, pagka-mayroong krisis na hindi ko mapuntahan (when there’s typhoon when there’s a crisis that I cannot go to)… I simply could not do the job that I [needed] to do without the airlift wing available to me, and that is how important the job is that you do and that is not only directed towards myself, the first family, and all our VIP guests, but it is an important part of our effort at nation-building,” he added.

According to the President, the 250th PAW has completed 445 flights, or 8,416 flying hours, with no accidents since the beginning of his administration.
He also said that the 250th PAW enabled him and his Cabinet members to travel around the country “in support of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response Missions.”
In his speech, Marcos reminded members of the 250th PAW, from pilots to its maintenance staff, to commit to continuous improvement as he assured them that his administration would prioritize the health and wellness of its personnel.
“Rest assured that this Administration is resolute to see that your health, well-being, and wellness are taken care of so that you continue to carry out your duties efficiently,” he said.
