MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in Cavite announced suspension of classes for Thursday because of the effects of southwest monsoon, locally termed “habagat.”

Below is the list of areas that announced class suspension for August 29:
- Dasmariñas – all levels, public and private
- Imus – all levels, public and private
- Noveleta – all levels, public and private
- Bacoor – all levels, public and private
Metro Manila and nearby provinces experienced continuous rains from Tuesday evening to Wednesday afternoon.
Several flights have also been canceled because of the rains.
