Cavite drug bust: P340,000 worth of shabu seized from 4 suspects

LUCENA CITY — Four drug suspects were arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 20, and yielded P340,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

“Jomel,” “Frank,” “Emmanuel,” and “Mitchel” were nabbed at 10:20 p.m. by police anti-illegal drugs operatives after they sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Burol Main, the Region 4A police said in a report on Wednesday.

The law enforcers seized from the suspects 10 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams and one mobile phone to be examined for records of drug deals.

Authorities are conducting investigations to determine the suspects’ source of shabu.

Police tagged the suspects on the police drug watch list and classified Jomel as a high-value individual in the local drug trade while his three associates were street pushers.

They were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
