Parts of EDSA Santolan flyover partially closed for 2 weekends

MANILA, Philippines – Portions of the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) – Santolan Flyover northbound (lane by lane) in Quezon City will be partially closed for two weekends.

In a social media post, the Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) said overlaying of asphalt will start 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. on July 22, and 11 p.m. on July 26 until 5 a.m. on July 29.

All repair activities will be conducted during nighttime to prevent traffic congestion.

The DPWH said the removal of existing asphalt pavement by rotomilling (pulverizing existing asphalt) shall be done first, lane by lane, until the full width of the pavement is completed. Asphalt overlay will follow.

Meanwhile, the DPWH – Metro Manila II District Engineering Office will conduct road repairs along EDSA southbound lane in Makati City starting 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday and from 10 p.m. on July 26 until 5 a.m. on July 28.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes or adjacent lanes.
