POLICE recovered 10 vintage bombs from a junkshop in barangay Opao, Mandaue City.

The owner of Artrade Recycling Corp. sought help from police after discovering the unexploded bombs. The junkshop owner said they were mixed in a truckload of scrap metal.

Insp. Diosdado Malazarte, chief of Special Weapons and Tactics, said the bombs could still explode since there were no signs that the powder inside was already drained.

The vintage bombs will be turned over to the Explosive Ordnance Division (EOD) of the Central Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
