MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has confiscated 142 grams of high-grade marijuana at the Port of Clark in Pampanga, the agency said on Thursday.

The BOC said the illegal substance arrived on June 13 in a shipment declared as a children’s toy.

However, when it passed through X-ray screening, the shipment displayed “unusual images” which led to its physical examination and sniffing of K9 dogs, authorities said.

They found out that it contained an aluminum pouch with 142 grams of high-grade marijuana worth approximately P243,000.

A warrant of seizure and detention was issued against the shipment, the BOC said.
