Palace bares new DFA, DILG, SBMA appointees

DFA appointees

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. has once again named Monica Prieto Teodoro as the President’s Special Envoy to the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef).

Prieto Teodoro is the wife of Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr.

Marcos appointed her for the same post last August 2023, but special envoys have a limited term, as per Executive Order No. 594.

The Palace likewise announced several new appointments in the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority on Tuesday evening.

DFA 

  1. Monica Prieto Teodoro – Special Envoy of the President to the Unicef
  2. Giovanni Palec – Non-resident Ambassador to North Macedonia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Hellenic Republic, with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Cyprus 
  3. Noel Eugene Eusebio Servigon – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Romania 

DILG – Bureau of Fire Protection 

  1. Honee Fritz N. Abangan-Diel – Fire Chief Superintendent 
  2. Gallo M. Macasinag –  Fire Chief Superintendent  

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority 

  1. Raul Marcelo – Member, Representing the Business and Investment Sectors   
  2. Kenneth Lemuel Rementilla – Member, Representing the Private Sector 
  3. Honorio Allado III – Member, Representing the Private Sector 
  4. Maria Cecilia Bitare – Member, Representing the Private Sector
