DND chief’s wife named special Unicef envoy

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has reappointed Monica Prieto Teodoro as the Special Envoy of the President to the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef), Malacanang announced on Monday.
Prieto – Teodoro, wife of Department of National Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr., had previously served in the same position during the term of then president Rodrigo R. Duterte.
“Itinalaga si Bb. Monica Louise P. Teodoro bilang Special Envoy of the President to the United Nations Children’s Fund o Unicef,” said the Presidential Communications Office in a Facebook post.
(Ms. Monica Louise P. Teodoro has been appointed as the Special Envoy of the President to the United Nations Children’s Fund or Unicef).
The UNICEF envoy had previously served as Tarlac 1st District Representative in the House of Representatives.
