The DBM said the OSSP for the TEC Secretariat was given the green light upon the request of the DepEd and based on the Excellence in Teacher Education Act.

“To further empower our educators and foster quality education for the benefit of our learners, we have approved the organizational structure and staffing pattern of the TEC Secretariat and the creation of 25 additional permanent positions therein,” Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said.

(As President Bongbong Marcos said, we need to implement concrete measures to promote the welfare of our teachers.)

(That is why, we will make sure to give support to the programs that will raise the quality of their teaching.)

The new permanent positions in the TEC Secretariat are in the Office of the Executive Director, Student Incentives Support Office, Quality Pre-Service Teacher Education Office, and the Quality Teaching Office.
