DBM okays creation of 25 permanent posts in Teacher Education Council
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has approved the creation of 25 permanent positions in the Teacher Education Council (TEC) Secretariat under the Department of Education.
According to the DBM in a statement on Monday, this is part of the organizational structure and staffing pattern (OSSP) of the council.

The DBM said the OSSP for the TEC Secretariat was given the green light upon the request of the DepEd and based on the Excellence in Teacher Education Act.
“To further empower our educators and foster quality education for the benefit of our learners, we have approved the organizational structure and staffing pattern of the TEC Secretariat and the creation of 25 additional permanent positions therein,” Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said.

The new permanent positions in the TEC Secretariat are in the Office of the Executive Director, Student Incentives Support Office, Quality Pre-Service Teacher Education Office, and the Quality Teaching Office.

TEC provides education and training to teachers by establishing scholarship programs to deserving students, teacher education degree programs and graduate degree programs.
