MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA 3) arrested a suspected operator of a drug den in a government relocation site for Pinatubo victims here and his three companions on Wednesday, April 24.
In a statement, the regional anti-illegal drugs agency said it confiscated some P103,500 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during the sting operation conducted around 8 p.m.

It said a three-week surveillance operation was undertaken before PDEA agents decided to conduct a buy-bust operation against alias Berong, 43, at his residence-turned-drug den at the Mawaque Resettlement Center in Sapang Biabas village here.
The three other people arrested were a 38-year-old man and two women aged 28 and 46.
PDEA 3 said eight plastic sachets containing some 15 grams of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia were allegedly seized from the main suspect, adding that the marked peso bill used in the buy-bust was also recovered.
The arrested suspects face charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which also criminalizes a person’s presence inside a drug den. INQ
