Drug suspect yields P136,000 worth of shabu, gun in Rizal bust

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a suspected drug trader early Thursday (April 25) and seized more than P136,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm in a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal.

The Region 4A police reported that anti-narcotics agents nabbed at around 12:50 a.m. “Jervi” in Barangay (village) Tayuman.

The suspect had five sachets containing meth worth more than P136,000 and an illegal handgun loaded with three bullets.

Police tagged the suspect as a street-level shabu peddler.

The suspect was detained.

He is facing criminal charges of violating Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for possessing and selling dangerous drugs; and RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, for illegal possession of a gun.
