MANILA, Philippines – The Metro Rail Transit line 3 (MRT3) temporarily suspended its operations Monday morning due to a technical problem.
A Radyo Inquirer 990AM report said that passengers had to get off one of the MRT3’s northbound trains at its Ayala Station at 7:37 a.m. when it ran out of power supply.
Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) spokesman lawyer Hernando Cabrera was quoted as saying that the train had to turn off its lights and air-conditioning unit for it to be moved.
The report said that the train was immediately moved to MRT3’s pocket track at its Shaw Station for inspection.
