LUCENA CITY — Three suspected big-time drug traffickers were arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 9 and 10) in buy-bust operations in Rizal and Batangas provinces.
The operations yielded more than P1.4 million worth of shabu (crystal meth), the police said.
Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) reported that anti-narcotics operatives in Binangonan, Rizal arrested “Odnal” and “Voltaire” at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Bilibiran.
Both persons are classified as high-value individuals or ‘HVI’ in the illegal drugs trade.

Seized from the suspects were five plastic sachets and two knot-tied plastic bags containing shabu weighing 111.37 grams worth P757,316.
Also confiscated was a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.
In Batangas City, the local police drug enforcement unit arrested “Noel” in a sting operation at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Bolbok.

The suspect, also tagged as an HVI, was found in possession of an envelope with two plastic sachets containing 100 grams of meth worth P680,000.
Rizal and Batangas police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
All suspects are under police custody and are facing complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
