6 suspects nabbed, P1.39M shabu seized in Rizal, Batangas

LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotic agents arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday six alleged big-time drug traffickers and seized more than P1,390,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Rizal and Batangas provinces.
The Region 4A police reported that the anti-narcotics unit in Antipolo City, Rizal nabbed Limuel Estela and Ana Marie Lacanay at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday, after they sold shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Mayamot.
The police found them possessing three sachets and one-knot-tied plastic containing meth weighing 75 grams.
The confiscated illegal substance is worth about P510,000 based on the valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).
In Binangonan town, also in Rizal province, local anti-illegal drug operatives arrested Roel Casaljay and Dave Marquez in a sting operation around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Tagpos.
The suspects were carrying eight sachets of meth weighing 55.1 grams with a DDB value of P374,680.
Authorities also seized a mobile phone from the suspects which will be subjected to digital forensic examinations if they have records of drug transactions.
In Batangas province, police officers in Sto. Tomas City busted Rubelyn Abduhasad and Julius Sarce at 1:05 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Poblacion 2.
The operatives confiscated from the suspects two sachets of shabu weighing 75 grams with a DDB value of P510,000.
The police also confiscated the suspect’s motorcycle which was believed to have been used in their shabu distribution.
Authorities in Rizal and Batangas were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.
All arrested suspects, classified as high-value individuals in the illegal drug trade, were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
