CCTV footage from Skyway showed that on the early morning of March 10, a rider managed to enter the Skyway Stage 3 ramp along the A. Bonifacing segment in Quezon City. Traffic enforcers attempted to flag him down because his motorcycle was not allowed in Skyway, and he was not wearing proper riding gear.

He sped past the traffic enforcers.

CCTV footage showed that the SUV driver, that had the right of way, tried to avoid an accident by changing lanes but the rider was driving fast and crashed into the SUV.

The rider, who, based on an incident report, was 22 years old, was killed on the spot. He was intoxicated.

The prosecutor dismissed the complaint after the rider’s sibling executed an affidavit of desistance, meaning they no longer intended to pursue a case against the SUV driver.

The SUV driver was released past 7 in the evening of March 12.
